A moose is always a moose on a moonlit macadam, smelling slightly like the acrid smell of gasoline brings together a two-channel film, photographs and performed text.

The film footage and photographs were made during three months of 2019 in Thailand, including in Bangkok, Koh Samui, Koh Pha Ngan, Phuket and Chiang Mai.

The work is part of an ongoing exploration of globalised economies of pleasure, consumption and capital, which have also included a book of poems, The sea is spread and cleaved and furled (Prototype: London, 2020), and a forthcoming photobook, All the Jacks (Prototype, 2023).
